Fancy a really big adventure? This top-equipped aluminium yacht will take you anywhere.
Leaves nothing to be desired
Expedition yacht
Tessi III, a 17.50m aluminium yacht, was designed for big voyages. The robust equipment carrier, the deckhouse with inside steering position, the fixed circumferential railing, and the cutter rig are just some of the features of a real blue-water yacht. Add to that 800 litres of drinking water, 800 litres of diesel, 10 bilge pumps, an 11kW bow thruster, a hydraulic autopilot, a sensible heating system with real radiators, a generator etc. etc. - all this and much more makes this ship a real expedition yacht. Due to time constraints, the owner never took her on the voyages for which she was built. As he passed away unexpectedly, the Tessi III is now for sale.

Aluminium for every purpose
The hull of the yacht was welded by the owner himself: 10mm aluminium on the keel, 8mm on the hull, 6mm on the deck. The owner knew what he was doing, as he worked with metals for a living. The interior fittings were done by a carpenter. On board there are large piles of documents from the construction, such as construction plans and drawings, photos and documentation; these can be studied with pleasure during an inspection.
Space for occasional guests
Thought for 2
The layout inside is intended for an owner couple with occasional guests or crew. The crew sleeps in the forward part of the boat. The two forward cabins with a total of 4 berths share a bathroom with vacuum toilet and spacious shower. The owners sleep, as they should, in the huge aft cabin. Here is a large 2x2m bed, of course with lee sails (mattresses new 2017). The aft cabin has its own bathroom, also with separate shower cabin and vacuum toilet.

Much invested
No maintenance backlog
The owner has spared no expense in keeping the yacht up to date with the latest technology. The 180 hp diesel is from 2011 and has only 335 hours on the clock. The self-tacking jib is from 2019, the genoa and furling main from 2016 and the sails look top notch. The upholstery in the saloon and foreship is new (2021). The electrics (2021), charger (2017) and also the battery bank (2021) have been completely renewed and all panels are from Philipi, the best on the market. Plotter, radio and co. are also new and available at all 3 helm stations. Also great: the berth in Heiligenhafen can be taken over. This winter the yacht is in Travemünde.
The yacht is in a nice condition, but there are a few things to do: There is no electricity on the satellite system, a lamp is missing in the saloon, the starboard windscreen wiper is defective, a few new props need to be put on the teak deck, the hatch in the forecastle leaks when it rains very hard, and since varnish doesn't hold so well on aluminium, it can be touched up again in places. But that's all. Climb aboard and cast off.
